Our Vision

Union Baptist Association is a collaborative network of churches strategically advancing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our work is unique to the needs of our churches and community, but we’ve organized these efforts onto three pathways:

Sending, Renewal, and Collaboration.

Sending Pathways is a UBA initiative to help local churches develop and deploy their own people for Great Commission work.

We want to see a city full of churches that cooperatively send their own for an array of Great Commission callings: missionaries, church planters, replanters, pastors, and church leaders.

Through consultations and citywide partnerships, we help churches of all shapes, sizes, locations, and budgets become healthy sending churches.

Renewal Pathways is an initiative to work towards church health in declining and dying churches.

We want to see a city full of vibrant, gospel-proclaiming churches and believe that God can move afresh in any setting. We mourn any church that has to close its doors and seek to prevent a loss of gospel presence in any community.

Through consultations and partnerships, we help struggling churches assess their reality, understand the context, explore potential solutions, and sustainably navigate change.

Collaborative Pathways is an initiative to bring churches, staff & members into more meaningful, kingdom-expanding relationships to strengthen the whole Body of Christ.

We believe our association is both an organization and a living organism. It's a network of living, reciprocal relationships. If these relationships are not tended and cared for, it weakens the foundation and work of the association.

By connecting leaders to one another and supporting them in specific cohorts, we help church leaders find the care they need to thrive in ministry for the long hual.
